In this hotel in Zanzibar, Tanzania, you can sleep in a room with glass windows, surrounded by local underwater life! Uncommon to claustrophobic, this room offers a wonderful view thanks to the clarity of the water.
Above the room, the outdoor area also allows you to enjoy the sun in peace.
This hotel, the Manta Resort is a hotel composed of luxury “shells” on the beach on the island of Pemba. Transparent water, white sand, a postcard landscape, in short, an ideal place for a honeymoon or a romantic getaway.
The coral reef around the island is impressive and for those who love diving, the island is a true little paradise. But in front of this natural wonder, a floating room was born in 2006. The price of this suite is about 1300€ for two people per night.
The idea of creating a room under the water level is Mikael Genberg, a Swedish artist who gave this idea by creating a similar concept near Stockholm in Sweden in 2000.

A year later, in 2006, the Swedish company on behalf of the designer, developed the concept and infrastructure to apply this type of housing worldwide. These include Zanzibar.
